The Balance of IMTAQ and IPTEK

Before we are going on with this matter, it would be better if we know about the definition of the balance of IMTAQ and IPTEK itself. Ex-precident of Indonesia, Prof.DR.ing.B.J. Habibie state that the balance of IMTAQ and IPTEK are the reflection of two important elements in human life which must always be kept. According to Habibie, IMTAQ can safe human so they cannot lose in their life, while IPTEK is needed to bring the positive change, the advanced and the prosperous in their life.

As we know that IMTAQ and IPTEK are two things that must have by someone in his life. Everyone must have the balance between both of them if want to have happy life in the world and hereafter. But, in the globalization era nowadays we can see that only a few of people who have the balance between IMTAQ and IPTEK.

In the globalization era nowadays, the development of tecnology is very fast. Almost all people understand and use tecnology in their daily activity. Start from children, teenagers, adult, even the elderly. These prove that people are easy to get the development of tecnology. Now, the question are; have they had the balance of both of them? Do they have the balance between IMTAQ and IPTEK? Well, one of Muslim cleric Indonesia state that still many people who have not the balance of IMTAQ and IPTEK. They inclined more thinking about IPTEK than IMTAQ. They only thinking how to support their life in the world without thingking about their life hereafter. They think that life in the world is everything, whereas actually life in the world is the life that only temporary.

 A person who have not the balance between IMTAQ and IPTEK usually will cause deviation social action. The case is same like they who have knowladge but don’t have faith. They will do everything according to themselves, without thingking about the caused. Now, let’s remember about Gayus Tambunan. I think everyone here know him, right? Yeah, Gayus Tambunan is one of the example from many government official who did curruption. Gayus Tambunan is proved wrong on the corruption case, bribe of mafia and have determinate as the suspect by Majelis Hakim Pengadilan Jakarta Selatan with the punishment are 7 years jailed and fine about Rp. 300 million.

Actually, Gayus is the person who needed by our nation because his intellectual, he is a person who has high knowladge, but because he has not faith, he does a big deviation, that’s corruption. If he has faith, of course he wouldn’t do corruption because he knows that corruption is sin. Someone who has knowladge but don’t have faith will very dangerous, because the knowladge that he has abuse and hurt many people.

The case before are the strong prove of unballance between IMTAQ and IPTEK. People who don’t have the balance of IMTAQ and IPTEK will do everything without thingking about the caused. They only thing from IPTEK side without think from IMTAQ side, so that caused is deviation actions.

After long explanation before, let’s see and think about ourselves. Are we include the people that don’t have the balance of IMTAQ and IPTEK like the example? Are we same like Gayus? Well, if the answer is YES, it can be change, Guys. I have some tips to make the balance between IMTAQ and IPTEK.

1.      Always incorporate the element of IMTAQ in IPTEK

2.      Try to fair in learning process between  IMTAQ and IPTEK

3.      Increase knowing about IMTAQ, so our knowing about IMTAQ can be same with our knowing about IPTEK.
